With a shared bicycle, you can cycle the last mile from the bus or train station to your workplace in no time at all. This makes travelling by public transport even easier. It’s an ideal means of transport for the distances between public transport stops, offices and car parks. And it’s sustainable and healthy.
How it works
You rent a shared bicycle for a single trip, meaning you don’t necessarily have to return it to the pick-up point. The shared bikes have a smart lock that you unlock with the Flickbike app, after which the bike is ready for use. Anyone who works at the airport can use the shared bikes. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, lock your bike using the scanner in the Flickbike app.
You can find distribution points for bicycles at the following locations: P5, P30, P40, P44, P57 (Canadaweg), Schiphol Building / Badge Centre, and Schiphol Plaza (the bicycle parking spaces next to the Sheraton). The app shows the location of available bicycles in real-time.
Ten shared bicycles are available to Schiphol Trade Park employees. Eight bicycles are at the Hoofddorp train station and two bicycles are at C-Bèta, the events and work location at Rijnlanderweg. If you have missed out on the available shared bikes, there is an electric shuttle bus service between the station and the business park.

How to use a shared bicycle
- Schiphol Centre: log in with your private email address and pay €1 per 30 minutes.
- Schiphol East: log in with your business email address and pay €1 per 30 minutes.
- Royal Schiphol Group: Log in using your business email address for free use.
Where do I drop the bicycle?
You can only lock the bicycle in the bike share area. This is the area around the distribution points; it will light up on your map in the app. The rental period ends automatically when you lock the bike. The bike can then be released to the next user.
